- Connect the male JIC flare end of the adapter to a mating female JIC swivel fitting. Ensure the 37° flare surfaces align correctly. Lightly lubricate the JIC swivel nut threads (not the flare itself). Tighten the JIC swivel nut to the recommended torque for the JIC size.
- Use backup wrenches where appropriate during tightening.
