Brass NPTF Pipe Fittings Manufacturer & OEM Supplier
Machined brass plugs, nipples, adapters, elbows and tees for distributor and private-label programs.
Brass NPT and NPTF Fittings for Production Supply
Delphi Fittings manufactures brass NPT and NPTF pipe fittings in Zhejiang, China for OEM buyers, industrial distributors and private-label programs. Available configurations include plugs, nipples, couplings, adapters, elbows, tees and crosses for compatible pneumatic, instrumentation and general fluid-service systems.
NPT and NPTF are both 60° tapered American pipe-thread families, but they are governed by different specifications and sealing assumptions. The purchase order should state NPT or NPTF explicitly rather than treating the terms as interchangeable.

NPT vs NPTF Brass Fittings: Specification Guide
NPT and NPTF are tapered American pipe threads with a 60° profile, but the standards control different thread details. ASME B1.20.1 covers general-purpose NPT dimensions and gauging. SAE J476 defines Dryseal forms, including controlled crest and root truncation intended to create metal-to-metal contact before or with flank contact.
| Thread family | Primary reference | Selection point | RFQ requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| NPT | ASME B1.20.1 | General-purpose tapered pipe thread; sealing practice depends on the complete assembly and approved sealant | State NPT explicitly, including nominal size and gender |
| NPTF / Dryseal | SAE J476 | Controlled crest/root truncation distinguishes the Dryseal thread form | State the complete NPTF form and mating connection; do not substitute NPT by assumption |
| NPSM swivel mating end | Part-specific 30° seat connection | The straight thread retains the swivel while the 30° seat forms the seal | Verify that the male pipe fitting actually includes the required 30° seat |
Functional Comparison with Brennan Brass Pipe Fittings
Delphi products are generally developed around Brennan-style specifications when a customer requests an equivalent. Brennan's current pipe-fitting catalog identifies brass as an available material and separates couplings, nipples, male-to-female adapters, reducer bushings and plugs by complete NPTF function. For example, Brennan 5405 is a male NPTF 30° x female NPTF adapter; its “-B” suffix identifies a brass version.
- Plugs and caps: compare Delphi B-3150, B-3151, B-3152 and B-3129 by thread form, size, head/drive style, thread length and drawing dimensions.
- Nipples and couplings: compare B-3325, B-3326, B-3250 and B-3300 by end gender, bore, hex or body form and overall length.
- Adapters: compare B-3200 and B-3400 by complete male/female orientation and any required 30° seat—not by a short description alone.
- Directional fittings: compare elbows, tees and crosses by branch/run orientation, centerline dimensions and every end size.

Material and Application Controls
“Brass” is not a complete material specification. Alloy composition affects machinability, strength, corrosion behavior and regulatory suitability. Potable-water, fuel-gas, oxygen, refrigerant and other regulated applications require the buyer to specify the applicable alloy, certification and code requirements. Delphi does not represent every catalog item as automatically approved for those services.
- Pressure and temperature: confirm ratings for the exact part, size, alloy, mating component and operating conditions.
- Fluid compatibility: review the alloy and any sealant or lubricant against the actual medium and temperature.
- Lead requirements: if a low-lead or lead-free alloy is required, state the governing regulation and documentation on the RFQ.
- Assembly: follow the fitting, equipment and sealant manufacturers' instructions; avoid applying a generic turn count to all sizes and materials.
