Installation & Usage Guidelines

• Thoroughly inspect all threads (male NPTF) and sealing surfaces (JIC 37° cone seat in the female swivel) to ensure they are clean, undamaged, and free from any contaminants or debris before commencing assembly.
• For the male NPTF end of the adapter: Apply a compatible pipe thread sealant (such as PTFE tape or liquid sealant) to the male NPTF threads. This is especially recommended if mating with a standard NPT female port or for high-pressure applications to ensure an optimal, leak-proof seal. Thread the NPTF end into the mating female NPTF port and tighten to the recommended torque or industry best practice for the specific size and application.
• For the female JIC swivel end: Align the adapter with the mating male JIC fitting or flared tube end. The swivel nut allows the adapter body to be held stationary while the nut is tightened independently. Hand-tighten the swivel nut, then use a wrench to tighten to the recommended torque for the JIC size. It is good practice to apply a light coat of system-compatible lubricant to the threads of the swivel nut (avoiding the sealing cone) to ensure smooth tightening and accurate torque application.
• Always use appropriate backup wrenches on the adapter body and the mating components during the tightening process to prevent distortion, over-tightening, or damage to the fittings or connected lines.
